CADm6 - Moduloppgave
Samarbeid - Cooperation
This module is about tools for collaboration in teams and
for reuse of models / drawings.
As the last Module Exercise, I must select between
Mechanical Task and Architect Task again.
Since in the past exercise I chose the Mechanical Task, it
is just appropriate to continue in the same line.
The task now: Model a multitool in AutoCAD.
As in past exercises, I had to download a DWF zip file,
pack it out and open it with Design Review. Then take out the dimensions from
it to draw.
In this exercise, one of the important parts was to have
attributes with blocks. I decided to have the attributes in all the blocks
rather than make a position number block and used it in the assembly.
The attributes needed were Part Name, Part No. and
Material.
Each part has its own file that contains the part as a 3D
model and Layout (A4) with an ISO-View.
Pliers and handle have a dimensions Layout with (at
least) 3 views. Sometimes, one or two detail-views helped to dimension better.
The Tittle block must
be filled out with name, date and scale etc. always.
I made a assembly were all the parts are inserted like
blocks.
To complete the exercise, I made a Layout with the
assembly and a Parts List. For making the Part List was used the Data
Extraction.
Two more assemblies are made:
1. With
all the parts inserted as Solids
2. With
all the parts inserted as X-ref
After submitting the files, as part of Exercise, I
received a message with some changes to be made on the model for then submit
again.

3D Modellering - 3D Modeling
For this exercise, I must select between Mechanical Task
and Architect Task again.
Since I had been choosing Mechanical Task from the beginning,
it is just natural to continue in the same line for me.
Now I had to model the pipe parts from CADm3 mechanical
task. Then, made AutoCAD to create views of them.
I created the following files:
-1 model of the cover (Layout with 3
views, side view with a cut, the rest the same as above)
-1 assembly of all in accordance with the
picture at the beginning.
(Layout as a ISO
drawing with arrows and parts list (incl. frame and title bar)
Finally, I made a DWF with all the layouts, drawings in
black and white (ISO is with colour) plus models in 3D.
CADm4 - Moduloppgave
3D Grunnleggende - 3D Basics
This module exercise consists of two parts: First, to
model the stove from CAMm1, and then use it in a scene.
Part 1: I made the stove as a 3D
solid model. I created all the parts as solids and set all the stove together
into a Group. The Help Objects (lines, points etc.) were placed on a separate
layer that is turned off.
I Set up the screen with 4 Viewports as
in the guide illustration. The first three Views were selected by default-View.
The last one (ISO) was made with a custom camera. I tried
out different Visual Styles for the different views.
Part 2: I created a new file and set the stove into a cabin
standing in a landscape. I added other objects from internet for recreate a small
kitchen. Other furniture to complement the cabin was added too.
CADm3 - Moduloppgave
Teknisk Tegning - Technical Drawing
For this exercise, I must select between Mechanical Task
and Architect Task again.
Since in the past exercise I chose the Mechanical Task,
seems appropriate to continue in the same line.
This time is an Assembly of a tube and cover.
As the last Module Exercise, I had to download a DWF zip
file, pack it out and open it with Design Review. Then take out the dimensions
from it to draw.
I submitted: two single drawings of objects and one
assembly drawing with a part list and a detail view in its own file.
The simple drawings were completed with hidden lines and
centerlines. The side view of the cover appears as a cut.
The assembly shows all the parts and a parts list. Screws
and nuts do not need drawings since they are standard parts you can buy.
CADm2 - Moduloppgave
Oppsett og Endring-Setup and Change
For this exercise, I must select between Mechanical Task and
Architect Task.
I chose Mechanical Task because I am interested in this
type of exercises.
I had to download a DWF zip file, pack it out and open it with Design Review. Then take out the dimensions from it to draw. Where it is not listed measurement, is the object symmetrical.
I must draw the lamp in three views plus an ISO representation and use proper Layers regarding hidden lines and
centerlines.
In
the A3 Layout, I created a separate viewport for the ISO representation and select
a lower scale to fit with the other views. On A4 Layout appears only the ISO-representation,
so that it almost fills the sheet. Important to select the appropriate scale
according with the Norwegian Standard (NS!) and lock the viewports.
CADm1 - Moduloppgave
Grunnleggende 2D-Basic 2D
This is my first Module exercise of the curse. I am very
exited to start drawing.
I must draw a stove in three views plus an ISO representation.
I just had to draw what is in the picture above (dimensions and details are
just for information).
This is my drawing:
There must also be a print layout and its correspondent
DWF file.
For the layout I must select the appropriate scale according
with the Norwegian Standard (NS!), lock the Viewport and print to DWF.
For the layout I must select the appropriate scale according with the Norwegian Standard (NS!), lock the Viewport and print to DWF.
